Here's everything you need to know about targets and their configurations.

What is a target?

A target is the URL of a web app, site, or API, and defines the scope of the scan. The following are examples of targets:

  • https://app1.example.com

  • https://example.com/app1

Which types of targets are there?

There are 2 types of targets: Web and API.

By adding API targets you can assess the security of your APIs in detail, whereas if you add Web targets you can scan your websites thoroughly.

How can I add targets to my account?

Depending on your plan, you can add targets one at a time (available on all plans), or import targets in bulk (available on the Enterprise plan only).

Can I export targets from my account?

Depending on your plan, you may be able to export a list of all your targets and their settings (available on the Enterprise plan only), directly from the targets list.

Targets with Unlimited Scans vs. Scans with Credits

Depending on your account plan, when adding a target you may be able to choose from adding a target with unlimited scans or adding a target whose scans consume credits. Your choice will depend on how frequently you run scans on your target.
