Using a meta tag is an easy way to verify the ownership of your domain. You just need to add a code snippet to the index of your website, and you'll be ready to scan in no time.

Step 1: Add the domain

First, start by adding the domain at Probely as follows:

  1. Go to the Probely app, select the TARGETS tab, click on DOMAIN VERIFICATION, and click on ADD DOMAIN.

  2. Type the name of your domain and click on ADD.

  3. In the next dialog, choose the Meta Tag option to verify the ownership of your domain, and click on NEXT.

You will be presented with the information you need to add the meta to your index page. Don't close the dialog.

Step 2: Add the meta tag to the index page

In this step, use the information provided in the Verify Domain dialog, and do the following:

  1. Edit the index page of your website.

  2. Copy the information in META TAG, and add it to your index page before closing the </head> tag.

  3. Save and upload the index page to your website.

Step 3: Verify the domain

Now, in the Verify Domain dialog, you can finally click on VERIFY. After the domain has been verified, you can start scanning!
